Many people worry about starting too late or, too early.  Some sit on couches and place headphones on their bellies hoping the baby is enjoying and benefitting from the experience.  Others wait until after baby is born placing mobiles that play clas…

Although this is fun and doable, remember that infant toddlers do not have the experiences yet to know the animals and how they move. Before this activiity is successful, you may have to introduce the animals to then with pictures, sound and your de…

Well thought out, Andrea. Your experience shows. You addressed all the points. Remember that children this age may have no idea what a penguin is -- too young for many past experiences as of yet. Therefore, it may be good to preface activity with a…

This is a cute and simple activity. Perfect for this age. Is this Mr. Al's song? It is important to name the resource so other's may find it. Extension idea : ask children what else can we do?

Good comments. For 0 - 3, it's more about just doing something than teaching a 'cognitive' lesson. Many of them have never seen snow and if they have, they are too young to remember. We often go from our perspective as adults forgetting that childre…

What age is this group? If it is for 4s and 5s, it would work. For younger, not so sure. It's good because they have to listen to the different parts and move accordingly. And, as you say, adaptable to different things. When children are given open…

I love your leaves and your snowflakes. Your little songs are adorable. Did you write them? It is great that you covered many bases by extending into covering the mouth -- Fall weather, seasonal colds. Nice. Be careful not to be gender biased. Why i…

Wow! Is it over? I feed badly. Because I was not receiving notifications when people posted, it was out of my mind. Occassionally, I would remember about it and look and post.
Sure wish I could have posted more. Please let's stay connected (join Music with Mar. Facebook Gruop) as I read and write and speak on brain research much. I'll be hosting the BAM! Radio show on that topic 'soon'. Thanks for the opportunity.

Discussions I'm having with Rae about the future of the radio programs etc. Becoming more involved with BAM and thinking that if we knew each other a little better, we may be able to utilize each other's resources.

Absolutely. This will definitely be enjoyable. Will I have to keep checking BAM! Street or will I be notified when they post?

Hello, Mar! I am setting up the Discussion groups in the NVCC group for Infants and Toddlers. Would you take group 2? Next week they will begin posting their music and movement activities for toddlers and I'd like them to get your feedback. I'm looking for developmental appropriateness, of course, and clear objectives. I would like them to be clear about the purpose of their activities. You may give them any suggestions you like, and they will consider them. After this part of the process, they will each implement their activity with children, and reflect. Thanks for consenting to help with this! Gail
